The edition of the Latin text with Czech and German forewords. This treatise is the last of the great works of Stansislav of Znojmo, philosopher and theologist, who lived at the turn of the 14th and 15th centuries and whose life and activity were linked with the Prague University. The content of this document is a well-known and often treated subject: in 27 chapters the author discusses sin and pardon, gives a definition of sin, of pardon, of good and evil, speaks of the causes and consequences of sin, of the categories and divisions of sin and of the ways of avoiding it. The author substantiates his statements with quotations from the Bible and patristics.
